On Your Mark. Get Set. Go!

The Neighborhood House house is pleased to once again serve as the official gathering spot for the “Half” portion of the MDI Marathon. On Sunday, October 14, runners will begin gathering beginning around 6:30am all the way up to race time at 8:30 am.

The public is invited to stop by and enjoy coffee and breakfast snacks before making our way down Neighborhood Road to the start line on Manchester and cheering on all of the competitors.

Bike Parade 2018 Photo Gallery

The 18th Annual Bike Parade & Ice Cream Social was held on Wednesday, August 8. Children of all ages gathered on the lawn of The Neighborhood House to deck out their rides with streamers, balloons, stickers, flowers, bows, and all sorts of other fun items. At six o'clock, the gang took to the street along with the Mt. Desert Police and Fire Departments to help keep things flowing smoothly.

Love Letters Takes the Stage August 23rd

Island Connections will be hosting a performance of "Love Letters" on Thursday, August 23rd at The Neighborhood House. The play, which was a Pulitzer finalist for drama, will be performed by Chloe Hatcher and Ephron Catlin, will begin at 6:15. Tickets are just $25/each, and all proceeds benefit Island Connections.
