Bike Parade 2018 Photo Gallery

The 18th Annual Bike Parade & Ice Cream Social was held on Wednesday, August 8. Children of all ages gathered on the lawn of The Neighborhood House to deck out their rides with streamers, balloons, stickers, flowers, bows, and all sorts of other fun items. At six o'clock, the gang took to the street along with the Mt. Desert Police and Fire Departments to help keep things flowing smoothly.

Following the parade, which ventured down Tracy Rd. and back to The Neighborhood House via Main Street, everyone gathered for the grand finale-- ice cream sundaes! Speaking of sundaes, we owe a great deal of thanks to our friends from Acadia Corporation for generously providing their handmade ice cream featuring madagascar vanilla.

Thanks also to the tremendous group of volunteers who helped the kids decorate their wheels, scoop ice cream and drizzle hot fudge, and even clean up. We're already looking forward to next year!
