Holiday Favorite Returns to Northeast Harbor
Thursday, December 8th
4:00 PM | Free All-Ages Performance
On Thursday, December 8th, the amazingly talented Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers will take to the stage at The Neighborhood House for a free to the public performance of “The Grinch.” Co-sponsored by the Northeast Harbor Library, the all-ages show gets underway at 4pm and will run just under one hour. Seating is available on a first come, first-serve basis, and free popcorn will be available for all those in the audience as well.
Starting more than a decade ago, Erik, Brian, and Robin Torbeck (better known as the Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers), brought their unique take on the Dr. Seuss classic to The Neighborhood House. Years later, like a favorite Christmas carol or movie that you can watch over and over each December, there’s something about taking in a performance of “The Grinch” that makes the holiday season feel complete. After a couple of years without any large indoor gatherings, we are so thrilled to welcome the return of the Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers for a presentation “The Grinch,” and hope you will join us!
Note to Parents: If your child attends Mt. Desert Elementary School, staff members and volunteers from The Neighborhood House will be meeting children after school and caroling their way down Main Street prior to the show. If you would like your child to be included in this group (you can either meet them at the show at 4pm or pick them up immediately following), please let us know by emailing Program Director, Suzie James. You should also alert your child’s teacher regarding their after-school plans on the Dec. 8. Please note there will be no Youth Club on Dec. 8.
