After School Fun Returns in September

The “After School Youth Club” will return for another school year starting on Tuesday, September 3rd. The program will meet every Monday thru Thursday, after school until 5:00pm. This drop-in program allows for participants to attend every day, or just every once in a while— whatever fits your family’s schedule. Transportation from Mt. Desert Elementary to The Neighborhood House is available each afternoon and the program is open to all kids in Kindergarten and up.

There is a drop-in fee of $15 per day, or a maximum of $500 for each half of the school year. As with all Neighborhood House programs, payment plans and assistance is available so that every child can participate regardless of any household budgetary circumstances.

Typical afternoons at Youth Club consist of a snack (provided), active play, acts & crafts, and lots of outdoor time whenever the weather allows for it. For nearly 25 years the Youth Club has provided kids with a fun and safe spot to “hang out” after school, and we’re looking forward to that tradition continuing. You can read lots more about the After School Youth Club as well as get a copy of the registration form on our Youth Club Page. If you have any questions, we’re happy to help— just send us an email, drop by, or give us a call at 276-5039.
