Christmas Caroling Before the Grinch

On Friday, Dec. 8, children are invited to come Christmas caroling with The Neighborhood House prior to a free public performance of “The Grinch” by the Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers. This free all ages show is co-sponsored by our friends at the Northeast Harbor Library.

Staff members from The Neighborhood House will meet participants outside Mt. Desert Elementary at dismissal on Friday, and then the gang will work their way down Main Street stopping at local merchants to sing carols. The musical extravaganza will end at The Neighborhood House just in time for the kids to enjoy “The Grinch,” which begins at 4pm.

Parents are invited to come enjoy the show along with their children, or they can meet them afterwards. The show runs just over 45 minutes.

If you would like your child to participate, please give us a call or email Program Director Suzie James. You should also contact the main office at MDES and/or your child’s classroom teacher so they are aware of their after school plans on Friday.
