Wine Pull Adds Excitement to Bash

With just over one week left until the return of the Bash at the Boatyard and tickets nearly sold out, we’d like to highlight one of the unique additions to the event which has quickly become a hit— the Wine Pull. “What exactly is a Wine Pull?” you might ask. Luckily it’s easy to explain and a whole lot of fun to take part in. For $20, you get to pick a bottle of wine which is guaranteed to be worth a minimum of $25. Here’s the catch— all of the bottles will be in numbered gift bags so you won’t know exactly which wine you end up with until after you pick and can reveal the bags contents.

The Wine Pull at our last Bash at the Boatyard in 2019

If you’re attending the Bash at the Boatyard, be sure to visit the Wine Pull station after you check-in. It’s a fun way to go home with a nice bottle of wine!

Of course, the Wine Pull is only possible thanks to some very generous wine connoisseurs from around our community who provide the bottles. Weather your wine knowledge doesn’t extend beyond “white and red,” or you are an amateur sommelier, you can help as well! If you’d like to contribute a bottle, our only request is that it’s valued at $25 or more. You can donate a bottle from your personal collection or buy a bottle specifically for the event. If that’s the case, consider purchasing your bottle at Sawyer’s Specialties Northeast Harbor location. The staff at Sawyer’s is happy to suggest a bottle to add the Wine Pull, and they’ll even mark it with your name (so we can send you a tax acknowledgement for your donation) and hold it for us to pick up prior to the Pull. Best of all, for every 12 bottles purchased and donated, Sawyer’s will provide an additional bottle to the Pull!
