August is Abound with Fitness Options
The summer season continues to roll on, and it’s the perfect opportunity to get active. The Neighborhood House offers several morning in-person classes which are the perfect chance to get your day off to an invigorating start. Meanwhile, the dog days of summer are no match for the air conditioned community gym— it’s the perfect way to beat the heat!
Tai Chi
Mondays @ 8am
All experience levels (including beginners) are invited to come explore Tai Chi with instructor Andrea Lepcio. Tai Chi has many incredible benefits including improved balance, strength, and even benefitrs your brain and heart. Sessions are offered on a donation “pay what you want” basis, and advanced registration is not required.
Mat Pilates
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday @ 9:15am
These tremendously popular sessions offered by instructor Hillary Kennedy meet 3X per week, so there’s no excuse not to give Mat Pilates a try! The class fee is just $10, and all proceeds go directly to The Neighborhood House! Space is limited, so online pre-registration is required.

Thursday, Sunday @ 8am

Yoga Flow
Fridays @ 9am
For beginners and more experienced yogis, this is an inspiring morning practice. Each week is themed to allow for deeper exploration. We will flow through sun salutations, standing poses, seated poses, balance, backbend and twisted poses moving on our breath. Andrea will offer modifications to make a pose easier or more challenging. Classes are offered on a donation “pay what you want” basis.

Whether you are looking to get active for the first time or just keep up a workout regime, The Neighborhood House has the perfect spot to achieve your goals.
