Any excuse to enjoy pie is okay by us, so naturally when we found out about about “National Pi Day,” it was an opportunity we couldn’t pass up. While yes, technically speaking, “Pi Day” refers to the mathematical term associated with the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter (3.14159…), it’s actually celebrated around the world every March 14 (3.14) with (you guessed it) PIE!

To celebrate Pi Day in style, The Neighborhood House was lucky enough to enlist the help of Chef Emily Damon of Island Star Take Away in Town Hill. Chef Emily will be helping us whip up some mouth watering PIZZA PIES for a special community pie party from 5-6:30pm on March 14. Additionally, we’ll have plenty of salad, and for dessert… more pies of course!

The suggested donation to take part in the Pi Day festivities is $7/person or $20/family, and seniors are invited to join us “on the house.” Additionally, feel free to bring you refreshing beverages.
