Adult Movement with Douglas Cornman

Friday, July 20; 9:00-10:30am

$10 (proceeds go to The Neighborhood House)

Come to The Neighborhood House to learn how your body moves. Explore fundamental elements of movement and how we naturally combined them to move around. This is not a dance class. Participants will explore the "building blocks" from which all movement occurs. Whether you already move a lot in yoga classes or through general exercise, or perhaps you've always been a little intimidated or shy about movement-- this class is for you!

You don’t have to be a dancer to participate. All that is necessary is that you are eighteen or older and that you are interested in learning how your body moves.

This workshop is led by Douglas Cornman, MA, BC-DMT. Douglas is Maine Sea-coast Mission’s Director of Island Outreach, a Certified Dance/Movement Therapist and a life-long enthusiast of movement. Douglas is also a volunteer member of The Neighborhood House's Board of Directors.

Wear comfortable clothing and bring along a water bottle. Everyone is welcome and invited to join. You can participate regardless of your current ability or mobility (e.g.: you can participate sitting in a chair or standing on the floor).
