Let's Sit Down for Supper

Families are welcomed to enjoy “dinner out” this Thursday, January 16, at The Neighborhood House in Northeast Harbor. The meal, sponsored by Island Towing & Auto Repair gets underway at 5pm and will run until 7:30, with a family-friendly menu including a “Build Your Own Burger” station as well as a “Sundae Bar” for dessert.

The meal is part of the Community Café program which meets at The Neighborhood House on the first and third Thursday of each month (November through April), and often attracts about a hundred guests at lunchtime. To give parents and families who might not normally get the chance to stop by for lunch the opportunity to take part in the fun, this Thursday’s Café will be held in the evening, from 5:00 to 7:00pm.

For the second year in a row, Les and the gang from Island Towing have generously agreed to sponsor our "Cafe After Dark."

The suggested donation is just $7.00 per person, or $20 per family, and seniors are invited to enjoy supper “on the house.” The event is open to anyone and everyone, with takeout containers available for those on the run. Any funds raised from the Community Café help fund future gatherings along with the year ‘round programs and events offered by The Neighborhood House.
