Crow Family Band to Perform August 9th
The Neighborhood House and Northeast Harbor Library will celebrate their year ‘round collaborative efforts with a special all ages concert by The Crow Family Band on Wednesday, August 9.— AND YOU’RE INVITED! The all-ages show is free to the public and get underway at 5:30pm at the green near the harbor.
The band, based out of NYC, describes their sound as “kindie climate rock for the whole family.” The show will cap off the band’s summer swing in New England, which also includes shows in Boston, Newburyport, and Portland.
The Crow Family Band has an interesting connection to Northeast Harbor (and The Neighborhood House). Todd Crow, father of band member David, father-in-law to Esther, and grandfather to Vincent, also happens to be the musical director of the Mt. Desert Festival of Chamber Music, which has performed summer concerts at The Neighborhood House for sixty years, and with Todd as director starting in 1996.
Grab the family and make it a point to join us on Wednesday, August 9 at 5:30. We encourage you to bring a blanket, lawn chairs, and maybe even a takeout “picnic style” dinner from one of our local restaurants and make an evening of it! In case of rain, the concert will be held indoors at The Neighborhood House.
