Celebrate Halloween with a Visit from the Treat Truck!

Halloween is right around the corner, and The Neighborhood House is once again looking forward to partnering with the Mt. Desert Chamber of Commerce to hit the road in the “Halloween Treat Truck.” Following the popular tradition, the Treat Truck will make stops in several villages handing out plenty of treats to “kids” of all ages.

This year the Treat Truck will be gassed up and hitting the road on Sunday, Oct. 31, doing its best to keep the following schedule:

The “Candy Claw” revolutionized treak-or-treating in the age of social distancing.

Bee Parks & The Hornets

* The fun kicks off in Northeast Harbor where the Mount Desert Nursery School will be hosting a Backyard Halloween Party with Bee Parks & The Hornets! The party starts at 1:30 and runs until 4:00 (the Treat Truck will be swinging by around 3:30). Admission is by donation and all proceeds will benefit the school. More info. available at:

The Somesville Libary

** For those trick-or-treating in Somesville, don’t forget that in addition to the Treat Truck, you can stop by the Somesville Library from 4:00-7:00pm for free books and “goolish goodies,” sponsored by the Somesville Library Association!
