New Classes Added

Along with the crisp air and changing leaves, we’re also welcoming several new classes to our lineup for the fall and winter months. Instructor Andrea Lepcio has switched up her summer offerings to now include Tai Chi, as well as Boom Mind, and Boom Move. We are also welcoming a new face to The Neighborhood House, Pilates instructor Hillary Kennedy who will be offering Mat Pilates twice a week.

Additionally, Boom Mind and Boom Move are part of the Silver Sneakers program. While classes are designed for students of all ages, participants 65+ enrolled in certain Medicare plans are able to attend at no charge (for everyone else the fee is just $5). To find out more about Silver Sneakers, see if you qualify, and enroll, visit the Silver Sneakers website.

Special Notes

  • Please sign the “guest book” on the table outside the Great Hall. We do this so that we can keep track of who attends class should we ever need that information for contact tracing.

  • All classes will be held in the Great Hall space where appropriate distancing is possible. We ask everyone wears a mask or cloth face covering into the building. When class starts, you can lower your mask if that makes you more comfortable so long as you are able to continue social distancing. Remember, 6’ is the “minimum,” and if you can spread out more than that, please do.

  • Hand sanitizer is available at the entrance to the Great Hall.

  • Please complete and sign this form before participating in class (you just need to fill it out once). Hard copies will also be available at the Great Hall entry.

  • If you, or anyone in your household displays symptoms associated with Covid-19, you should not attend class. See this CDC guidance for more info. If you or anyone in your household has recently returned from any state not on Maine’s travel exemption list, you cannot attend class prior to completing a 14 day quarantine or receiving a negative Covid-19 test.
