Coronavirus Update: March 23

With recommendations still in place regarding social distancing, limiting the size of gatherings to less than 10, and avoiding activities such as indoor gym workouts, etc., we have made the decision to extend the suspension of all programs through at least April 30.

This is certainly not a choice we were looking forward to making, but it is the correct decision. The well-being of our community, volunteers, and staff members is our priority.

·      Current gym memberships will continue to be extended based on the length of the closure. For any members signed up for monthly autopay, your cards will not be run during the closure.

·      The fluid nature of this situation means we can not yet determine a safe start date for our summer camp program. We will not publish camp materials nor accept registrations until such a time as this date can be determined. We expect our camp program will look a little different this summer, but we’re going to be as flexible as possible to make it work.

·      Many of our other planned gatherings and celebrations for the coming months might also take on a new look or be rescheduled. We’ll keep you in the loop and will do all that we can to continue to serve our community in a responsible and safe manner.

Thank you for the support over the previous week and for your continued patience as we move forward together. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. We’re still responding to phone calls (207-276-5039), emails (info@theneighborhoodhouse.com), and questions on our social media pages.

We’re looking forward to resuming community gatherings and events as much as you are. Luckily, when things are back to “normal,” we’ll all have a great excuse to celebrate. In the meantime, we urge everyone to adhere to CDC guidelines, check on your friends and neighbors, and remember that there’s a light at the end of this tunnel.

Onward and Upward!
