The annual Community Cookout will return on Memorial Day, May 27. This year's event is once again generously supported by four fantastic sponsors:  Main Street Variety, Northeast Plumbing & Heating, S.R. Tracy Paint Shop, and Thomas W. Wallace Construction. Thanks so much for making this community tradition possible!

Lunch will include a choice of hotdogs, hamburger, or cheeseburger, along with chips, beverage and dessert. The suggested donation is just $5, and veterans are invited to join us “on the house.”

Kinds Invited to Take Part in the Parade

Children are invited to join The Neighborhood House as we march in the Memorial Day Parade. We can always use extra hands to pass out balloons and American flags! Kids can walk with us or ride a bicycle if they'd prefer. Younger children should bring along an adult.

Our parade contingent will gather outside Mt. Desert Elementary School at 10:00am. The parade starts at 10:30 and will head down Joy Rd. and Summit Rd. to Main St., along Main St., and then to the Harbor.
