The "Registration Form" is Available Here, and must be filled out and returned prior to your child attending.
The Neighborhood House's After School "Youth Club" program is a non-custodial drop-in program designed to give school-aged kids a fun, safe place to "hang out" after school. The program runs every Monday thru Thursday (after school 'till 5pm) throughout the school year. As a drop-in program, it is not necessary to register your child for specific days which they will attend.
Perhaps the best way to describe Youth Club would be to compare it to allowing your child to invite several of their friends over after school. The children are supervised, a snack is available for those who would like it, and planned games and activities are often offered for those who would like to participate.
To help defray the cost of having a staff person on hand to oversee the children and assist with activties, as well as the expense of supplies, snacks, etc., we offer two payment options (as with all NHH programs, if these fees do not fit into your family's budget, please contact us). For children who drop-in on a frequent basis, we ask for a one-time fee of $350, which covers half the school year ($700 for the full year). For kids who drop-in less frequently, there is a $10 daily fee. (A second child discount of $250 per half-year or $5/day is also available.)
In both circumstances, we will calculate which payment option is less (depending on the number of days your child attended), and bill you accordingly at the smaller of the two fees.
As a "drop-in" program, it is not necessary to pre-register your child for specific days. However, we do ask that you fill out our basic information sheet, so that we are sure to have your current contact information on file, in case we need to get in touch with you. Once the form is returned, your child is invited to join in the fun.
To avoid any confusion, we also ask that you send a written note to school to alert their teacher and office personel of their new after school "routine."
There is always a lot going on at The Neighborhood House, and we're always looking to add more!
If you have an idea for a program or activity, please stop by, give us a call, or drop us an email
The Neighborhood House depends on private financial support so that it may continue to provide a wide array of programs and events to the entire community throughout the year. Any gift, no matter the size, is greatly appreciated and will aid us in achieving that goal. Equally important are the volunteers, without whom non of this would be possible.
